As lockdown lifts and we slowly continue to return to our normal activities, we are able to gradually build towards gatherings as a church family again. We are following guidelines and working to discover how we can begin to move forward appropriately as a church family.
We are confident we can begin to meet safely in person. Since we are gradually and slowly returning to the building as church family, we will begin by resuming our services with a smaller capacity. We are operating on a first-come basis where the first 40 people to register with the sign-up link are welcome to join us. You must sign up in one of the following ways:
As the weeks go by the seating demand is growing and a waiting list forming. We want to be fair to everyone who wants to attend so we are asking you to take note of the following reminders:
– Please sign up for Sunday services by 4.00pm on Fridays. This gives time for our team to send you a confirmation email and plan your seating.
– Please arrive before 10.00am for Sunday services. Late arrivals make seating difficult and your seats may be given to others hoping to get in.
– If possible please honour your seat booking. Non-attendance means other people who wanted to attend are unable to.
In order to ensure the safety of our church members, we will be doing the following during our Sunday services:
Separate entrance and exits
You will be permitted to enter through the emergency doors at the back of the building leading into the auditorium (follow the signs for the entrance) and exiting through the main doors in the foyer.
2 meter spacing and seating
When signing up to attend a service, you must let us know how many people are attending with you so we can ensure enough chairs have been set up for your bubble and spaced out appropriately and in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
Foot operated door handles
We have installed foot holds onto frequently used doors to enable you to open doors without touching them.
Hand sanitation and mask stations
When entering the building, you will be asked to use hand sanitiser. Masks are available at the same stations which are located throughout the building.
Fresh air is constantly being pumped into the auditorium. Our air ventilation system completely cycles the air in the auditorium several times every 30 minutes.
Various other measures
We are seeking professional advice and keeping a close eye on the government guidelines. We will be updating our safety measures and procedures as we receive new information.
You are welcome to bring your own masks and sanitisers
Please see the following bullet points ahead of your arrival in order for us to work together to respectfully follow guidelines during COVID-19.
– Please arrive no earlier than 9:30am.
– No touching or hugging with anyone outside of your bubble.
– You are welcome to bring your own communion (bread and juice) to take during the service.
We are a church that values family! Although we would love to welcome everyone, we will not be able to facilitate hosting our normal children’s ministry events in the building and would recommend your family continue to watch via online streaming. If you plan to attend with children, we ask that they remain with you at all times. Alternatively, you can wait to come and join us until we are able to facilitate this further down the line.
Through our assessment of the government guidelines coupled with our high-grade ventilation system within the auditorium, we feel comfortable that by having a reduced form of worship, we are still within the government legal requirements. This means we are asking everyone who attends to sing softly, at the sound level one would use with a normal conversation.
We are assessing this decision on a weekly basis and will keep you informed as things develop. Please use this information to make your own assessment in choosing to attend.
Thank you for abiding by the guidelines listed above and however you choose to participate with your service, we look forward to having you!
